I prepared myself mentally for weeks for this...My baby is starting a new stage of life and this is what is meant to happen. He cannot stay a baby forever, though he will always be in my heart. I told myself that his big brother was at the school if he ever got scared, or sad and needed his family. I told Drayke a million times to lookout for him, although there is no use in reminding him...he always does...Drayke and Deagyn share a bond like no other and as their mother, I pray that never fades.
So out with the mush and in with the funny...Here is what they had to say about their first day of school and some pics to capture such precious memories.
Me: "So, Drayke what was your favorite part of school?"
Drayke: "Definitely my locker and seeing Kyra, Mom...I still love her so much."
Me: "Deagyn did you love your first day of Kindergarten?! What was your favorite part?"
Deagyn: "Yes! I fink(aka think) it was lunch! You know what Mommy, they give me better chicken sandwiches than yours!"
Final Grade for Day 1= A+
