Drayke became a high purple belt at The Edge Martial Arts and Fitness tonight! We are so proud of him. He failed his pretest the first time. It was a hard lesson learned but Daddy didn't think he brought the intensity needed to carry a high belt rank at our school so he didn't pass his pretest. It broke my heart to see him so upset but at the same time it taught him that you have to earn things in life, they are not just handed to you. So, a very important lesson was learned. This belt meant more to him than any of the others. He's been through a rough time lately with his Epilepsy(and it just so happens he gets his purple belt and purple is the color for Epilepsy) and dealing with the emotional struggle that steams from that as well. And he knew tonight, he deserved that belt. He earned it! So congrats son...As always, you're our little BIG warrior! We love you so much! Mommy, Daddy, and Barrett Deagyn!
Unfortunately, poor little man's night ended in a seizure but at least he's okay! Daddy was with him and said he came out of it just fine! And when he got home I opened the door to that big toothless little grin he's got! That's my boy and he's one fabulous kid!
